Weekend Tours for Students
Discoverer’s partners run trips every weekend, all year round. They’re especially designed for international students. They are a cheap, safe way for your students to explore outside of Auckland on the weekends. You tell us which trips you want to book, and when, and we’ll make it happen.
Cost includes transport, shared accommodation, breakfast, and sightseeing. Other meals and optional activities are at additional cost.
WAITOMO / TAUPO / ROTORUA (2.5 days)

Friday
2pm departure to Waitomo
Saturday
Waitomo Caves – bush walk (options include blackwater rafting, glow-worm cave tours (1 hour/3 hour)
Taupo – Lake Taupo, Huka Falls (options include bungee, skydiving, jetboating)
Rotorua (evening option – Polynesian Spa)
Sunday
Rotorua (Morning Options – Waiotapu geothermal park, Te Puia geothermal park and cultural show, Whitewater rafting) sightseeing includes geothermal parks, cultural heritage sites, lakes
(Afternoon Options – Gondola/luge, Zorb, farm show) sightseeing and Redwoods forest walk etc
Return to Auckland by around 8pm
BAY OF ISLANDS/CAPE REINGA (2.5 days)
Enjoy 90 Mile Beach, slide down the Te Paki sand dunes and reach the northern most tip of New Zealand! Go sailing on a yacht or swim with dolphins.
Cost includes all Saturday activities. Sunday options are at additional cost

Experience the amazing coastal scenery and spectacular beaches of the Coromandel Peninsula. 1 and 2 day options available.

HOBBITON AND HAMILTON GARDENS
Step into the Shire and see the amazing set used for The Lord of the Rings and The Hobbit films. Experience Hamilton’s own magical wonderland in the Hamilton Gardens. Price includes transport and entry fees.
